Spectacular Art Deco mantle clock designed by Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller Clock Co In 1933. Known as the Z Clock due to the chrome z shape base. Chrome plated steel, glass enameled metal. Time works but clock is missing the intended red sweeping second hand and shaft. Original Waltham motor unit which likely needs replacement. Was rewired in the 1980s and shows a date of 10/68 etched into the back, which appraisers believe to be a repair date. Glass and metal are in beautiful condition. Expecting to sell to a clock aficionado or collector who wants to bring this rare clock back to pristine condition. Measurements: 12.5 W x 11 H x 3 D.
